Trim Healthy Mama Quick Start Guide

So, now you have the Trim Healthy Mama book in your hands and you need a Trim Healthy Mama Quick Start Guide. You have read the first few chapters of the book, as well as sampling some of the other chapters throughout the book. “Wow!” you are thinking, “this is a big book.” Yes, it is a big book with lots to learn. I have noticed that there are two responses my friends have made. One is to read as much as possible and then to say, ‘Right, let’s start! ,’ and the other is to say, ‘There is too much information, I don’t know where to begin?’ It doesn’t matter which response you have; I want to help you get your head around becoming a Trim Healthy Mama.

A word of caution though, the book’s title is, Trim Healthy Mama, and for some of us that means the healthy comes before the trim. Please don’t get discouraged if you don’t see the scale move in the first couple of weeks. Focus on feeding your body with good, nutritious foods and the weight loss will come. Trim Healthy Mama is not a ‘lose 10 kg in 5 weeks’ diet. Stick with the plan and watch what happens.

Aussie Mamas Top 5 Tips is a great blog to read first. With just a few simple steps, I want to show you how to start your Trim Healthy Mama journey. Take the time to do these 5 things, and you will not regret it.

Go here next to learn why I think menu planning is the key to success in the kitchen, whether you are a Trim Healthy Mama or not. When I started to adopt a regular meal plan into my kitchen, not only did it save my sanity at 5pm every night, but it also saved me money at the supermarket and helped my week run smoothly. Stress levels dropped as I knew that I didn’t have to come up with a meal idea each night. Gone was the daily scanning of the pantry and fridge for meal time inspiration.

If you have never written a meal plan and don’t know where to begin, check out this post to get a week of Aussie Trim Healthy Mama meals all ready for you to print out. In my kitchen, I have a 4 week rotation of meal plans laminated and ready to stick on my fridge. Call me a little strange, but it gives me great pleasure just to walk past my fridge and glance at all the meals I have planned for the week. It gives me warm fuzzies. I know, I know, you don’t need to comment 🙂

Once you have printed out your meal plans, start revising the first few chapters of the Trim Healthy Mama book. Brush up on what a Satisfying (S) meal looks like. Learn how to put together a great Energising (E) meal and reread what makes a meal a Fuel Pull (FP). Trim Healthy Mama Simplified has Aussie Mamas food lists that you can print out, laminate and stick up in your kitchen or put in a Trim Healthy Mama folder.

After you do all this, you will be ready to hit the shops. Be sure to come back soon to get the printable Aussie Mamas Shopping Guides!

If this Trim Healthy Mama Quick Start Guide has helped you on your Trim Healthy Mama journey, I would love to hear all about it. If you have any questions about anything I have written, please be sure to ask them, and I will do my best to find the answers.
